Cleaning Off the Rust

If you’re an IT guy, we all know we can’t just sit around the whole day playing Restaurant City on Facebook without doing anything new aside from your usual job.  We’ll definitely rot and be pushed out of IT in no time. Especially now that I have condemned myself of being an academe person (learning and teaching for a living) I cannot afford to get all rusty in technology.

This semester, we revamped one of the electives and turned it into a Google elective. We’ll be teaching a lot of Google APIs including OpenSocial and the AJAX APIs. I’ll be forced to learn new things but nonetheless I’ll enjoy it.

That’s So 2006

Everything’s new with my laptop. I recently installed Windows 7 RC on my laptop, replacing the old Windows 7 BETA. I ended up with my Photoshop not working. So there I was reinstalling all my applications on a freshly installed OS. I remembered I had to install Firefox for my web development stuff. I opened IE, searched for Firefox and ended up with this screen.

moziila

I’m a Firefox and Chrome fan. I often bash about Internet Explorer but I didn’t know that Mozzila guys were very expressive with their feelings.
